Most of the headlines about the Chiefs winning Super Bowl have revolved around Andy Reid deserving his first Super Bowl win, Patrick Mahomes proving the Madden curse wrong, and Kyle Shanahan blowing another lead in the Super Bowl, but our favorite that we’ve come across is all about Rashad Fenton. The DB has a long history with Hard Rock Stadium – he worked there at the concession stand while he was growing up just a few minutes away. He got started in concessions thanks to Miami Norland Senior High School, which had football students doing mandatory volunteer work assigned by their coaches. To go from serving pizzas and nachos, to winning his first Super Bowl – we’d call that a come-up.
I Legit used to work at the Dolphin stadium growing up, And Now i will be Partaking in the Worlds Biggest Event there. God Works In Mysterious Ways🙏🏾🙌🏾 #SuperBowl54— Rashad Fenton (@_sleepp) January 20, 2020
Would the fans define this as a Cinderella story? While it is a great one, we don’t think the fans would qualify it as one. But do we think the fans can appreciate the triumphant experience of Fenton going from concession worker to World Champion in the same stadium? Definitely. And do we think the fans are excited to learn the stories of all the athletes we’ll have waiting to be drafted to an FCFL team? Without a doubt!
